100 Years Ago August 3, 1922 Preston Drug Store in Oxford has been highly complimented upon by the “Omaha Druggest”, one of the leading drug journals in the U.S. The foundation has been put in for the addition to the Buffalo schoolhouse.

10 years ago Harold “Shorty” McClintic is retiring at the end of the month from the Holbrook Post Office. Shorty came to Holbrook 24 years ago in July from York, NE and started out in the Post Office in 1981 at Loup City.

10 years ago The Elwood Public Library Board and Elwood Village Board of Trustees are proud to announce the ribbon cutting and grand opening of the new Elwood Public Library on Saturday, July 28.
